He directed films including Isai, Puli, Naani, and Anbe Aaruyire. He wrote, directed, and acted in the 2004 film New, which he also produced. The film was loosely inspired by the 1988 Tom Hanks ' movie Big . He played a villain in the 2017 films Spyder and Mersal.
