Salih Özcan

ABOUT SALIH ÖZCAN

Defensive midfielder that signed his first professional contract with FC Cologne in 2016. A few years later, he signed a club contract with the Bundesliga squad Borussia Dortmund in May 2022. He has also played for the Turkish men's national team during his professional career.

He initially began playing soccer as a young child with SC West Köln. He later joined the 1. FC Köln youth squad.

He made his official international debut playing against Team Italy on March 29, 2022. He and the Turkish national team lost the game 3-2.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Cologne, Germany. Although he is a native of Germany, he was born of Turkish descent.

He played alongside Marco Reus and Mats Hummels as a member of Borussia Dortmund during the 2022 Bundesliga season.
