ABOUT SAM ADEKUGBE

Professional soccer player recognized for his skill as a left-back. He joined Turkish club Hatayspor in 2021 after having played for Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. and Vålerenga, among others. He represented Canada in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

He joined the Whitecaps FC Academy during his youth career.

He made his professional debut in 2013. He scored his first professional goal in 2016.

He is of Nigerian descent. His younger brother, Elijah, has also played soccer professionally.

He and Ognjen Vranjes have played as teammates for Hatayspor.
