Málaga CF and Villarreal CF. He began representing Spain internationally at the under-16 level.

He graduated from Málaga CF's youth system at age 16.

He has earned the nickname El Fideo, which translate to "The Noodle," due to his ability to squirm his way out of tight spaces on the pitch.

He has a sister named Noemi.

He has been teammates with right back Mario Martinez on Villarreal.
