Santosh Mohan Dev

ABOUT SANTOSH MOHAN DEV

Member of the Indian National Congress who was elected by two different states and served seven terms in Parliament. He shaped Indian automotive policy while he was the Minister of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises from 2005 to 2009.

He earned an MBA from the Welsh College in Cardiff, U.K.

He served as Indian Minister of Steel during the 1990s and helped to turn his native country into a global powerhouse for the manufacture of steel.

He was the first of three sons born to Satindra Mohan Dev.

He and Mohammad Azharuddin both served in the Indian National Congress.
