American author most well known for her historical mystery series starring the character Alexander von Reisden.

She attended Harvard for her undergraduate and graduate degrees, both in English, and worked as an assistant professor before shifting her focus to the computer industry.

She was named Woman of the Year by The College Club of Boston in 1997.

She was born in Boston, Massachusetts, where she lived most of her life.

Pauline Clark was another author of historical novels (as Pauline Hunter Blair).
