ABOUT SCOTT GRIFFITHS
English striker most famous for his years as a member of Reading, West Bromich Albion and the Republic of Ireland. He led Football League One in scoring in 2008-09 and was named Swindon Town Player of The Season.
He was born in Tilehurst, a suburb of Reading, and attended Denefield School. He began playing for Reading at age 9.
His spectacular goal against Birmingham City in September 2012 earned him the Mitre Goal of the Year Award at the Football League Awards.
His father is David Cox.
He was teammates with prolific goal-scorer Robbie Keane at the UEFA Euro 2012.
