He attended White Plains Senior High School, where he averaged nearly 30 points per game during his four years.

He was first team All-AAC his senior year at Cincinnati.

He was born in Yonkers, New York.

He finished his career second all-time on Cincinnati's scoring list, behind only Oscar Robertson .
