ABOUT SéRGIO LOPES

Brazilian poet, singer, and Christian music composer who is best known for his 2008 album Sergio Lopes - O Poeta da Musica Gospel and the 1995 album Sonhos. He has earned representation from several different labels including Line Records, Art Gospel, and Som & Louvores.

He first began performing in theater productions in primary school. He learned several musical instruments at the age of twelve and began singing as well. He went on to enroll in the Navy to guarantee his living and the continuation of his education. His debut album was released in 1990 titled Nossos Dias.

In 1986, he won the first place trophy at the National Festival of Sacred Music at the Villa Lobos Theater.

He was born and raised in Paraiba, Brazil.

He posted a picture with fellow gospel singer Anderson Freire to his Instagram in June of 2018.
