ABOUT SHAILESH LODHA

Actor, comedian, and writer who famously played the role of Taarak Mehta on the sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah, which holds the Guinness World Record for longest-running Indian daily sitcom. He was also the presenter for Wah! Wah! Kya Baat Hai! and performed in the comedy film Wig Boss. As an author, his works include several satirical/humorous books, a self-help book, and a poetry collection called Dilijale Ka Facebook Status.

He earned both a bachelor's and a postgraduate degree in marketing before becoming an actor and TV personality. Before inaugurating his famous sitcom role, he competed in the reality comedy shows Comedy Circus and Comedy ka Mahamukabla.

He has earned numerous accolades throughout his career, including 2 Zee Gold Awards - Best Anchor in 2014 and Best Male Actor in a Comic Role in 2018.

He grew up in a Marwari family. He is married to management author Swati Lodha, with whom he has a daughter named Swara.

He co-starred alongside Dilip Joshi , Disha Vakani , and Bhavya Gandhi on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah.
