American singer, instrumentalist, musician, vocalist, performer, artist, entertainer, YouTube star, online content creator, social media personality, and guitarist who is best known for being one-half of the band Shane & Shane alongside Shane Everett. They are known for playing contemporary worship and praise music.

He has attended Texas Tech University . He also attended Texas A&M University where he worshiped at the Christian student gathering Breakaway. It's also where he met Shane Everett.

In the year 2014, the band launched a project called The Worship Initiative, a paid membership website with instructional videos and chord charts for popular worship songs. Their YouTube channel, which operates under the handle Shane and Shane, has garnered 154 million views.

He is the son of Margaret Ann and James David Barnard. He has been married to Bethany Dillon since the year 2008.

His band has been featured on Tedashii Anderson 's song "Finally."
