ABOUT SHAWANA CARTER

Actress who is known for her work in a variety of television programs and films. She is best known for her role in the 2017 FX original series Better Things where she plays the character Robin.

After taking several classes and discovering her passion for acting, she starred in her first role in the television miniseries Princess Rap Battle where she played the character Tiana. After appearing in a variety of web series, she landed her first role in a feature film in 2016 titled Recovery.

In addition to her work as an actress, she has also worked as a production assistant on the 2010 Soul Train Awards.

She was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

As a star on the FX series Better Things, she stars alongside Pamela Adlon , Hannah Alligood , and Olivia Edward .
