Known on her blog as Mix and Match Mama, she is a writer and cookbook author grown popular penning Mix-and-Match Mama Eats: Crazy Good Go-To Meals, Mix-and-Match Meal Planner, and Mix-and-Match Cakes.

She graduated from the University of North Texas in 2003.

Outside food and lifestyle blogging, she owns the travel agency Mix and Match Travel.

She struggled with infertility before giving birth to her children, Kensington and Smith. She and her husband Andrew would later adopt two daughters, Ashby and Madeley, from China.

Her brother, Sean Lowe , gained fame himself appearing on the ABC reality series The Bachelor.
