She studied psychology at Florida Atlantic University, while she also ran a successful spray tan business. Before being named Miss July 2012, she posed for a local sunglass company and car ads.

She was named a "social star" by Playboy Magazine in 2014 for her social media followings on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

She was born in Jupiter, Florida. Her mother was an avid photographer.
