Weightlifter and exercise enthusiast. She became known as "Sabre" on Gladiators. Aiming to "inspire young women" in the way she was by the original Gladiators, her account, sheli_mccoyofficial, often features motivational health and fitness content. She has garnered more than 190,000 followers on Instagram alone, who love to keep up with her training routines, recovery sessions, healthy lifestyle, and more.

She played several sports growing up, becoming passionate about fitness while watching the television show American Gladiators as a child. She attended Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

She has been featured on BBC, the Scottish Sun, and The US Sun. She is a co-owner of CrossFit Dundee, a CrossFit gym in Scotland. She has won several championships in weightlifting and CrossFit. She was a guest on the Restless Natives podcast.

She was born in Windsor and moved to Scotland when she was young. Her mom, Kaz, was a sergeant in the army. Her father, Sean, died in a car crash when she was three years old.
