Sheridan Morley
ABOUT SHERIDAN MORLEY
The grandson of renowned actress Gladys Cooper and the son of actor Robert Morley , he published biographies of both his grandmother and his father. A prominent nonfiction author, he also wrote about the lives of Katharine Hepburn , Elizabeth Taylor , Marlene Dietrich , and other Hollywood stars.
He studied at Oxford University and subsequently worked as a late night news and talk show host.
He wrote a 1983 play called "Noel and Gertie" that focused on the lives of Noel Coward and Gertrude Lawrence .
His second wife was TV producer and critic, Ruth Leon. Previously, he had been married to Margaret Gudejko.
Noel Coward was the godfather of one of Morley's sons.
