Singer who made waves in the R&B scene with her 1997 cover of Turley Richards' "You Might Need Somebody." For her debut album, Much Love, she won MOBO Awards for Best R&B Act and Best Newcomer.
She was born in Paddington and was discovered by producer Kwame Kwaten at age fifteen.
She was a guest judge on the 2010 docusoap Pineapple Dance Studios.
Her birth name is Mathurin Campbell. Her sister is fellow singer Sadie Ama , with whom she has been a member of the band A-List.
She collaborated with rapper Giggs on the song "Cut Above the Rest."
