Danish television and film actress, entertainer, performer, and artist who is known for her work in the television shows Borgen (2010-2022) and Westworld (2016), and for her work in the films Inferno (2016), The Duke of Burgundy (2014), and In Fabric (2018).

She grew up wanting to be an actress. She attended acting school in Paris. Her acting debut was in the film Let's Get Lost (1997). She acted in small roles up until being cast in Borgen (2010), which ignited her acting career.

She is multilingual and she speaks fluent Danish, English, and French. She was a guest voice actor in Season 29 of the Simpsons in the episode "Throw Grampa from the Dane" (2017).

She was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her father was a photographer and her mother was a schoolteacher. She spent a lot of her childhood in Tanzania.

She acted alongside Tom Hanks in the film Inferno (2016), which was directed by Ron Howard .
