ABOUT SIGURD WONGRAVEN

Norwegian musician, entertainer, performer, instrumentalist, singer, and artist who rose to fame for his work as the vocalist and lead guitarist for the black metal band Satyricon. He has also contributed vocals to releases by other prominent underground metal bands such as Celtic Frost and Darkthrone.

He left high school at the age of 17 to pursue music. He joined Satyricon in the year 1991.

He began endorsing ESP Guitars in the year 2008. He has competed in the Porsche Sports Cup Scandinavia. In the year 2009, he stepped away (temporarily) from his music duties and founded the wine-making company Wongraven Wines.

He wished his son a happy birthday in an Instagram post published on the date of October 21, 2023.

He collaborated with Gylve Fenris Nagell on Darkthrone's 1996 album Goatlord.
