ABOUT SPANKY MANIKAN
Known for his work on both stage and screen, he appeared in Filipino theatrical productions of Caucasian Chalk Circle and The Iceman Cometh, as well as in films and television series such as Ploning and Honesto.
He launched his acting career in the early 1970s, performing in several productions with the Philippine Educational Theater Association.
His role in the 1981 film Himala won him a Metro Manila Film Festival Best Supporting Actor Award.
He spent the majority of his life in Manila, Philippines. He was married to Susan Africa up until his death in 2018.
He is a contemporary of Filipina entertainer Cristina Raines .
