ABOUT STEFANOS KASSELAKIS

Elected President of Syriza that initially began serving in September of 2023. He is also a well respected business man and entrepreneur. He even once worked as a columnist for The National Herald.

He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania . While there, he studied International Relations.

As a student in college, he was given an opportunity to work on Joe Biden 's 2008 political campaign. Later became the first openly gay leader of a major political party in Greece's history. In October of 2023, controversy erupted when the Greek newspaper Estia published an article claiming that New York voter records indicated that Kasselakis was a registered member of the conservative Republican Party in the US.

He lives along with his husband, Tyler McBeth. They got married in 2023.

He was also given a chance to work with Barack Obama prior to becoming president of Greece.
