Stelios Haji-Ioannou

ABOUT STELIOS HAJI-IOANNOU

British entrepreneur who founded the low-cost airline "easy" brand, which includes services like easyJet, easyCar and easyHotel. He is also the founder of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation.

He was born in Athens and studied at the London School of Economics as well as Cass Business School.

He was the inspiration for the character Omar Baba on the BBC comedy series Come Fly With Me.

His parents are Nedi and Loucas Haji-Ioannou. He has two siblings.

In 2006, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II.
