ABOUT STEPHEN WEISS

Canadian center who spent the first 11 seasons of his NHL career with the Florida Panthers before signing with the Detroit Red Wings in 2013.

He began his professional career with the Plymouth Whalers in the OHL in 1999 and was selected 4th overall by the Panthers in the 2001 NHL Draft.

He set Florida Panthers franchise records in games played (654) and assists (249).

He was born and raised in Ontario, Canada.

He became teammates with the great Pavel Datsyuk on the Red Wings in 2013.
