ABOUT STEVE ALTEN
Most famous for his Megalodon (or "Meg") series of science fiction novels, Alten also penned the popular Domain Trilogy, as well as such stand-alone works as The Loch, Goliath, and Grim Reaper: End of Days.
After earning a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University, he received graduate degrees in sports medicine and sports administration from, respectively, the University of Delaware and Temple University.
He founded a national literary program called "Adopt-An-Author."
He was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He was born in the same year as fellow American science fiction writer Neal Stephenson .
