ABOUT STEVE PERRYMAN
Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year in 1982, made a record 854 first team appearances for Tottenham.
He was a highly sought-after young player who played for Ealing Schools, London Schools, and Middlesex Schools.
He turned to coaching after his playing career, winning the J. League championship in 1999 and the Asian Cup Winners Cup in 2000.
His brother opened a sports shop bearing Steve's name.
He and Martin Chivers contributed to the greatness of Tottenham Hotspur in the 1970's.
