British actor, entertainer, artist, and performer who has appeared in a wide assortment of both television projects and films including Bridget Jones's Diary , A Good Year, Fierce Creatures, and If Only. He was also in shows such as Doctors , Casualty , Doctor Who , and The Vicar of Dibley .

He attended the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

He was in the 2020 Amazon Original mini series Small Axe. In 2021, he launched a podcast with two actor friends called Of Spice and Men. He was also the star of television programs like People Like Us, Coupling, Midsomer Murders, and Doc Martin.

He married Celia Wright. His parents were doctors.

He played a cameraman in the series Ali G Indahouse starring Sacha Baron Cohen .
