ABOUT SUJATA BHATT
Indian poet who became known for an award-winning collection entitled Brunizem. Her other works include The Stinking Rose, Aguatora, and Monkey Shadows.
She and her family emigrated from India to the United States in 1968.
She received her Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from the University of Iowa.
She married Michael Augustin, a German author. The couple raised one daughter.
Like literary contemporary Vikram Seth , she was born in India.
