ABOUT SUMIKO FUJI
Japanese actress who became known for her lead roles in Yakuza films and also appeared in a 2009 film entitled Air Doll.
She was born in Gobo, Wakayama to Kôji Shundô, the executive producer of Toei Studios.
She was a Blue Ribbon Award winner in the Best Supporting Actress category in both 1999 and 2006.
She married Kabuki actor Onoe Kikugorō VII. The couple had two children: actress Shinobu Terajima and actor Onoe Kikunosuke V.
She and actress Kumiko Akiyoshi both won Blue Ribbon Awards for Best Supporting Actress.
