Susan Ford

ABOUT SUSAN FORD

Famous as the only daughter and fourth child of Betty Ford and 38th United States President Gerald Ford , she is also notable for her work as a Newsweek and Associated Press photojournalist. In 1992, she joined the board of her mother's Betty Ford Center.

Her 1975 high school prom was held in the White House's East Room.

She and author Laura Hayden co-wrote the 2002 novel Double Exposure: A First Daughter Mystery and its 2005 sequel, Sharp Focus.

Her first marriage, to former Secret Service Agent Charles Vance, resulted in daughters named Heather and Tyne. Her second marriage, to lawyer Vaden Bales, began in 1989.

One of her three older brothers, Steven Ford , pursued a career as a television actor.
