ABOUT SUSAN MOONSIE

Famous for her membership in the 1980s, Prince-created vocal groups Apollonia 6 and Vanity 6, she is also well known for her romantic relationship with Prince , which spanned the early 1980s.

She joined Vanity 6 at the age of eighteen, although she claimed to be sixteen.

The Prince hit "When Doves Cry" is rumored to be about the singer's relationship with Moonsie.

Born to a family of Trinidadian heritage, she spent her youth in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her marriage to David Garfield lasted from 1988 until Garfield's sudden death in 1994.

She and Apollonia Kotero were both members of Apollonia 6.
