ABOUT SUZANA PIRES

Brazilian actress and writer who is known for starring in several feature films and television programs. She is best recognized for playing Sonia Cavalcanti in the film Casa Grande. She is also known for having won Best Actress at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival in 2014 for her role in A Grande Vitoria.

She earned her bachelors degree in Philosophy from PUC in Rio de Janeiro. Her acting debut came in 1994 when she starred in the television series Teen Confessions. She then went on to make her feature film debut in 2006 when she starred in Women From Brazil.

In addition to acting, she is also a writer who is known for having penned the telenovela Sun Rising in 2016.

She was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

She starred alongside Marcello Novaes in the 2014 feature film Casa Grande.
