Takuma Asano

ABOUT TAKUMA ASANO

Professional winger and forward that was signed by the Japanese soccer club Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2013. He was later signed by the Bundesliga football club VfL Bochum. During his professional career, he has also played for the Japanese men's national team.

He initially began his soccer career playing for the Yokkaichi Chuo Technical youth club. He first joined the youth club in 2010.

He played for the Japanese national team during the 2022 World Cup. He scored the game-winning goal in Japan's opening victory against Germany. Growing up, he lived with his family in Komono, Japan.
