Younger brother of actor Tyler Hoechlin , who rose to fame on MTV's series Teen Wolf. He acted alongside his brother in an episode of 7th Heaven titled Major League.

He played baseball for Riverside Community College.

He was originally casted to play Tom Hank's son in the feature film Road to Perdition but they decided to use his brother Tyler instead.

He also has a brother named Travis and a sister named Carrie.

His brother Tyler briefly dated actress Brittany Snow .
