As a child, she and her family moved from South Africa to Florida. When she was 11, she wrote a novel about runaway orphans using only purple ink.
She self-published her first novel, The Opportunist, through Amazon. Her other novels include An Honest Lie and The Opportunist. Rome is her favorite place in the world and Paris is second.
She lived in Seattle with her husband and children. Her father, Dennis Fisher, was a horse trainer. Her mother, Cynthia Fisher, was a schoolteacher.
She is a fan of the band Florence + the Machine with Florence Welch .
