Artist and activist known for her 2012 Stop Telling Women To Smile street art project. The public art series was created as a way to raise awareness about and combat gender based street harassment and violence against women.
Her oil paintings of President Barack Obama were included in Shepard Fairey 's Art For Obama: Designing Manifest Hope and the Campaign for Change in 2009.
She's been primarily based in Brooklyn and was named one of Brooklyn's most influential people Brooklyn Magazine.
She was born in Oklahoma City
Her work was featured in Spike Lee 's feature film Da Sweet Blood of Jesus. The two are friends and he's been featured on her Instagram.
