American writer best known for her novels Malibu Rising, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and Daisy Jones & The Six. She is also a notable television writer, having co-written the Hulu sitcom Resident Advisors alongside her husband.
She attended Emerson College and worked as a casting assistant before launching her career as a novelist.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was nominated for a Goodreads Choice Award for Best Historical Fiction of 2017.
She is married to television writer Alex Jenkins Reid. The couple has a daughter.
In 2018, Amazon began developing a miniseries based on her novel Daisy Jones & The Six with Reese Witherspoon as co-producer.
