She started her professional career in 1994. She attended Wesleyan University . She is fluent in Italian and was part of an exchange program in Italy.
She had a role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as one of Will's love interests. She has also appeared on Castle , Bones , The Mentalist , CSI: NY , Beverly Hills, 90210 , Friends , and House of Payne .
She married Rosario "Saro" Gullo who passed away in 2012. They had one daughter together.
She was portrayed by Zoe Saldaña in the series From Scratch .
