ABOUT THOMAS G WAITES
Perhaps most famous for his roles in Broadway productions of Search and Destroy (by Howard Korder) and Awake and Sing! (by Clifford Odets), this stage and screen actor also appeared in episodes of such television series as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and NYPD Blue.
After studying acting at New York's famous Juilliard School, he earned bachelor's and master's degrees in writing from, respectively, The New School and the University of Iowa.
In 1984, he joined Lee Strasberg 's renowned Actors' Studio. He later opened his own New York-based performance school.
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he later settled in New York, New York.
He appeared in director John Carpenter 's classic 1982 horror film, The Thing.
