Actress, comedian and writer known for playing Ellen in the Hulu sitcom How I Met Your Father . She was a writer on the series Work in Progress. She voiced characters in Q-Force and Star Trek: Lower Decks. She played Jane Ji in the 2021 horror film Candyman .

She graduated from Boston College with a degree in biology. Her first screen role was in a 2011 short film titled John Doe.

She played Laura in the series Hot Date. She executive produced the 2021 ViacomCBS Sketch Comedy Showcase. Throughout the course of her career, she has made over a dozen appearances in different films and TV series'. Her longest running role on a TV series to date has been on the show How I Met Your Mother.

Her parents are Vietnamese refugees who migrated to the United States in 1979.

She was in Candyman which starred Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Teyonah Parris .
