ABOUT TIMOTHY WRIGHT
Minister and gospel vocalist who was nominated for Grammy Awards in 1994 and 1999. He released numerous albums throughout his career, including Hallelujah Is Highest Praise (in 1987), which reached number four on the U.S. Top Gospel Albums chart.
He learned how to play the piano when he was twelve years old and sang in his church choir when he was a teenager.
He was pastor of the Grace Tabernacle Christian Center Church of God in Christ, a Pentecostal church in Brooklyn, New York.
He, his wife, and his grandson all died after suffering serious injuries in a 2008 automobile accident.
He and Marvin Sapp were both Gospel singers and pastors.
