ABOUT TINA HOWE
American playwright who wrote award-winning plays like Painting Churches and Coastal Disturbances. She was an Obie Award winner for Distinguished Playwriting in 1983.
She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, after which she spent a year writing in Paris.
Her play Coastal Disturbances was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play in 1987.
Her father is the journalist Quincy Howe. She was married to Norman Levy.
She and Maria Fornes both won Obie Awards for Distinguished Playwriting.
