ABOUT TINO ASPRILLA

Colombian professional footballer who is known for playing with the Parma and Newcastle United Clubs. With Parma, he has won several honors including the UEFA Cup in 1994 and the Coppa Italia in 1998. He is also known for his work with the Colombian national team as well.

He first started his youth career in 1986 with the Sarmiento Lora club. In 1988, he advanced to start his senior career in Cucuta Deportivo. In 1989, he moved on with Atletico Nacional and in 1993, he made his debut appearance on the Colombia national team.

In 1993, he was named by FIFA as the sixth-best player in the world. As a player with Atletico Nacional, he won the Copa Interamericana in 1990 and the Categoria Primera A in 1991.

He was born and raised in Tulua, Colombia.
