ABOUT TOM CLARK
American poet, editor and biographer who is known for works such as Light & Shade: New and Selected Poems and Threnody. He received the Hopwood Award for poetry and also wrote biographies of Edward Dorn, John Keats , and other literary figures.
He attended the University of Michigan and later worked for the Paris Review as a poetry editor. He published essays and literary reviews in the London Review of Books, the Los Angeles Times, and other prominent newspapers.
He published several essays on the poetry of the 1980s.
He grew up in Chicago. In 1968, he married Angelica Heinegg.
He wrote a biography of Jack Kerouac .
