ABOUT TOM MOREY
Surfer, engineer, and musician who invented the Boogie Board and brought about other innovations in surfboard design.
He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1957 with a degree in mathematics.
He joined the Bahá'í Faith in 1970.
He and his first wife Jolly Givens had two daughters before divorcing in the 1960s. With his second wife Marchia Nichols, he had four sons.
He worked during the 1980s as an engineer for Boeing, an aircraft company founded by William Boeing .
