ABOUT TOM ROBBINS

American author who wrote novels such as Even Cowgirls Get the Blues and Jitterbug Perfume. He is known for his work in the serio-comedy genre. He wrote a total of 8 novels and had multiple other literature projects.

He enlisted in the Air Force after receiving his draft notice and spent a year as a meteorologist in Korea. He would eventually move to Seattle, Washington where he was involved in the city's art scene and maintained an alternative radio show at KRAB-FM while also working at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

He was named one of the 100 Best Writers of the 20th Century by Writer's Digest magazine. His last novel, Villa Incognito, was published in 2003.

He was born in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. He married Alexa D'Avalon in 1987; together, they had three children.

His novel, Even Cowgirls Get the Blues, was made into a film starring Uma Thurman and Keanu Reeves .
