ABOUT TOM BROOKSHIER
Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back who had his #40 jersey retired after being named to two Pro Bowls in 8 seasons with the team.
He was drafted 117th overall by the Eagles in 1953 after playing college football at the University of Colorado .
He had a successful career as an NFL broadcaster for CBS throughout the 1970s.
He had three children, Betsy, Linda and Thomas Jr., with his wife Barbara Brookshier.
He did play-by-play announcing for Super Bowl X, XII and XIV with fellow announcer Pat Summerall .
