ABOUT TOMMY JENKINS

Former winger and coach who played and coached professionally for 12 different teams. He scored 35 goals over his 16-year playing career.

He began his professional soccer career in 1966 as a member of the Leyton Orient Football Club.

During the 1968-69 season, he scored a career high of 13 goals while playing for the Margate Football Club.

He was born in the area of Bethnal Green, which is an area in East London. While living there in his youth days, he played for the East London Schoolboys soccer team.

He shares a December 2 birthday with Gianni Versace .
