ABOUT TRAVIS SANHEIM

Canadian defenceman who was drafted in the first round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. He was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Flyers on September 25, 2014.

He grew up in Elkhorn, Manitoba and played in the Manitoba Midget AAA Hockey League.

He won a bronze medal representing Canada at the IIHF World Under-18 Championship where he also won the award for Best Defenceman.

His twin brother Taylor is a forward with the Calgary Hitmen.

He and Brian Boucher are both first-round draft picks of the Philadelphia Flyers.
