ABOUT UMIE AIDA

Actress who became one of the most recognizable in all of Malaysia with her performances on hit shows like The Last Sura and in such hit films as Embun (2002) and Hide: Lucky Azazil (2013). She won the TV3 Screen Award for Best Actress five times from 1999 to 2013.

She began her career as a commercial model at age 16. She was later a finalist in the Teenage Goddess contest.

She is a singer who contributed several songs to the soundtrack of the 1999 television adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.

She married entrepreneur Khairuddin Abu Hassan in 2010. She is the sister of actors Erma Fatima and Betty Rahmad.

She appeared with Remy Ishak in the stage play Natrah in 2009.
