She earned her big break in 1998 portraying Beatriz in La mentira.

In 2010, she secured a spot hosting the long-running music television series Estudio 2.

She was born Mónica Vanessa Arias Núñez in Mexico.

She is friends with fellow Mexican television actress Zoraida Gomez .
